THE HERITAGE is located on land that was formerly part of Pick Point Lodge. Our cottages have spectacular views of the Belknap, Ossipee and Sandwich Mountains. Motorboats for fishing or skiing are available for rent at local marinas. Lake Winnipesaukee's 72 square miles offer fine fishing for bass, salmon, lake trout and pickerel. Corky Newcomb has fished the lake for over 40 years and can point you in the right direction. The annual salmon Winni Derby is held every May and offers over $65,000 in prizes.
Golf Courses are located 7 and 12 miles from us:
Kingswood (public), and Bald Peak (private), Ridgewood CC, Indian Mound, Waukeewaun (public). We can, book tee times for you if you so wish. Bald Peak is one of the top five courses in N.H. and it is exceptionally picturesque.
Day trips to the White Mountains or the Seacoast are only one or two hours away. Wolfeboro, "THE OLDEST SUMMER RESORT IN AMERICA" is just 6 miles from us. There are lots of fun things for families to do in the area.
We are located 1-1/2 miles from an Indian Village location called Aroosabog and we are directly across from the island where John Pillsbury started his company. He didn't like the winters here so he moved to Minnesota.
We have the best location for sunsets in New England because our cottages face directly toward west. We are also located on the widest part of the lake known as "The Broads". You will have a very difficult time finding a better view.
